Seeqpod is one of the many new music search services emerging under the Web 2.0 umbrella, and boasts many of features you would expect from such a service – although the seemingly ubiquitous wetfloor logo has been omitted. Its ‘playable search’ uses biomimetic search and discovery technology from work done by UC’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL)…
So what is biomimetic search? Well, apparently this is a technology that simulates the recall and association processes of the human mind. It is not entirely clear how it manages to perform this remarkable feat, but the upshot of it all is that “hidden relationships in digital content and data” can be revealed.
