Just as I was beginning to form some idea of what Dubstep was, I learn that Skrillex is sometimes referred to as a major proponent of that genre. This throws something of a spanner in my musical-perceptual works; after having listened to a couple of tracks, it sounds more like 90s computer game soundtracks played through Native Instruments’ Massive and mashed up with Justice.
