When In Doubt, Ask For Help

There’s no such thing as a dumb question – unless you don’t ask it. This is particularly true for audio production; if you can’t get your audio interface to work with your operating system, it’s probably a usability failure on the part of the software and/or hardware. In an ideal world, any user would be able to figure out how to get their equipment working perfectly without any need to RTFM, let alone resort to calling tech support.

However, we are a long way from such a utopian idyll. Many pro audio interfaces still don’t officially support the operating system bundled with the vast majority of new computers, and even Mac users have their fair share of compatibility conundrums to overcome. So, when all else fails, it’s a good idea to ask someone who’s done it already. Here are a few fora that may save the day…
