Inside the Inspiron 545

The basic Inspiron 545 configuration comes with a Celeron processor and Intel integrated graphics, which is fine for general office work or Web surfing. If you want to use it for multimedia however, you should upgrade to at least a Core 2 Duo processor - and you can even go for a Quad-Core if you need it. An 18.5" monitor comes with the basic config, and is up to Dell's usual high standards - of course, as you upgrade, you can get larger monitor sizes as well.

Inspiron 545 Graphics

If you intend on doing any significant graphics work, and certainly if you want to use the Inspiron 545 for gaming, then you really should upgrade the graphics to a dedicated solution. The 512MB ATI® Radeon™ HD 4350 graphics card option provides enough power for most purposes, and should run any modern game well at reasonable quality settings...
